The Department of Allied Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Nursing to teach in our baccalaureate nursing program. This 9.5-month position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated nurse educator to prepare aspiring nursing for transformative health careers to solve problems that change the world. Our innovate 1+2+1 nursing program, offered in collaboration with St. Peter’s Health Partners, allows students to earn both an Associate of Science (AS) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing in four years- qualifying them to take their RN licensing exam after the third year of the program.
The successful candidate will bring clinical expertise in community or public health nursing; however, candidates with other relevant clinical backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants should demonstrate a record of effective teaching and a commitment to student mentoring.
The individual will serve as the primary instructor for upper-level courses such as Community and Public Health Nursing, Professional Role Development and Nursing Leadership and Management, and assist with the instruction of other nursing courses based on program needs and the candidate's expertise.
The individual will also work closely with the Program Director to help ensure that students achieve the required program learning outcomes and entry level professional competencies.
The individual will also be actively involved with student advising, recruitment activities, new student orientation, faculty meetings and committees, and accreditation activities.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
