  • DESCRIPTION: United Activities Unlimited, Inc. (UAU) is a Staten Island-based community organization providing youth development, education, and community support services. The Group Leader supports COMPASS, SONYC, Beacon, and Cornerstone programs by supervising classroom-based afterschool activities for youth ages 5 to 13. This role focuses on creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth while supporting program staff with daily operations and activity implementation.

  • QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred Minimum of two years of experience working directly with children ages 5 to 13 At least one year of experience in a classroom, daycare, or school-based setting Commitment to working from a strength-based perspective Cultural competence and the ability to effectively engage diverse populations Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate flexibility Must pass required reference checks and background clearances as required by

Requirements
