Responsibilities

As a Site Assistant at Light Street Special Education Solutions, a division of LEARN Academy, you play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of telepractice services to students with special needs. Your primary responsibility is to facilitate the smooth operation of remote therapy sessions, ensuring that students can fully engage in their virtual learning experiences. Your responsibilities center around the telepractice environment, interacting with students, teachers, remote therapists, and other professionals to ensure a seamless approach to student care. You support the implementation of telepractice sessions and help maintain the connection between in-person and virtual educational experiences. As part of Light Street Special Education Solutions, you contribute to the company's mission of improving the quality and efficiency of special education services. Your work directly supports positive outcomes for students and strengthens the effectiveness of telepractice interventions, aligning with the organization's commitment to evidence-based practices and flexible solutions in special education. Essential Job Responsibilities Escort students to and from their designated telepractice locations within the school. Set up and prepare technology for telepractice sessions, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Assist students in logging into their virtual therapy sessions and troubleshoot basic technical issues. Provide on-site support during telepractice sessions, including behavior management and redirection when necessary. Act as a liaison between remote therapists and on-site staff, relaying important information about student progress or challenges. Maintain the telepractice environment, ensuring it is conducive to learning and free from distractions. Assist in implementing strategies or activities as directed by the remote therapist during sessions. Document student attendance and participation in telepractice sessions. Collaborate with school staff to coordinate schedules and minimize disruptions to the student's academic day. Participate in training sessions to stay current with telepractice technologies and best practices. Qualifications
