Salary Range

$30.00 USD hourly. ASU Prep Global Part-Time Teachers are responsible for making knowledge accessible to all students, developing students cognitive capacity and respect for learning, fostering students’ self-esteem, motivation, and sense of civic responsibility and leadership, ongoing professional growth, development of a variety of teaching and instruction materials and strategies, implementing school policies, communication with parents about students’ academic as well as discipline issues. Teachers selected for hire will be working as digital educators supporting several grades and students within a partnership.

Opportunities are part-time and based on organizational and instructional needs. Placement in this position does not guarantee immediate employment or assignment within a specific timeframe. Compensation is earned only for assigned work and is paid according to the approved hourly rate. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited college or university. Valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; appropriate endorsements may be required depending on the area of instruction or have passed appropriate AEPA or NES proficiency exams. Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience. Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Satisfactory criminal background check. Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Duties and Responsibilities

Delivers instruction. Determines instructional techniques, strategies, and methods, and adapts curriculum and learning styles to meet and assess student’s needs. Maintains open lines of communication with parents/guardians about academic and discipline issues through various media including phone calls, notes, progress reports, etc. Performs clerical duties including logging communication in SIS and finalizing grades. Meets regular and predictable attendance requirements as assigned by manager. Develop activities and resources, strategies and methods for a variety of teaching, including creating lesson plans that are aligned learning objectives with the school guides. Assess and evaluate performance, behavior, and progress of students in grades, progress reports and assessing comprehension of learning objectives. .Assess and evaluate student performance and behavior through progress reports and assessment of learning objectives. Maintains confidentiality of all student and staff member information. Contributes to professional growth of self and colleagues including sharing and planning curriculum, staying current with educational trends, and continuing professional growth to meet the state and school requirements including current teaching certificates. Works collaboratively to achieve the overall purposes of the school program. Maintains a classroom atmosphere conducive of learning. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Effective problem solver and self-motivated learner. Ability to use instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses. Proficiency with technology, computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 15 lbs. such as boxes, supplies, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. LOCATION: Remote TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays. Requirements

Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education and possess a valid State Teaching Certificate. Additionally, applicants are required to have a satisfactory criminal background check and an active AZ Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
