  • Information: This is a part-time, FLSA-exempt, 10-month union position. This is a non-supervisory role.

Summary The Reevaluation Case Manager coordinates assigned special education reevaluation cases and supports the Lead School Psychologist and IEP teams in completing Reevaluation Reports (RRs). The position is responsible for monitoring reevaluation timelines, gathering and organizing student information, collaborating with members of the IEP team, communicating with parents/guardians as needed, synthesizing information, and preparing Reevaluation Reports. The position works collaboratively with school staff and members of the IEP team to ensure reevaluation activities and documentation are completed accurately and within required timelines.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned reevaluation cases by monitoring required timelines, gathering necessary information, and completing assigned reevaluation duties. Meet regularly with the Lead School Psychologist to review assigned cases, timelines, progress, and questions or items requiring follow-up. Collaborate with case managers, parents/guardians, teachers, related service providers, and other IEP team members to gather information needed to support the reevaluation process. Gather, review, and synthesize relevant student information and data and prepare Reevaluation Reports under the direction and review of the Lead School Psychologist. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential reevaluation records and documentation and ensure paperwork is consistent with applicable federal and Pennsylvania special education requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field. Experience working with students with disabilities and/or in a special education setting. Familiarity with the special education evaluation and reevaluation process. Knowledge of IEP processes and special education terminology. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Ability to analyze, organize, and synthesize information from multiple sources. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians and school personnel. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive student information. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience preparing or supporting special education evaluations or Reevaluation Reports preferred Knowledge of IDEA and Pennsylvania special education requirements. Experience with student information systems and special education documentation systems. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, videoconference, and electronic communication. Ability to occasionally move throughout the school environment to attend meetings, observe students, or access records and resources. Ability to perform routine office activities, including keyboarding, filing, copying, and handling documents. Ability to occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds. Working Conditions Work is primarily performed in a school and office environment. Regular use of computers, electronic student information systems, telephones, email, and other office technology. Work may involve frequent interaction with students, parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, related service providers, and other school personnel. May require participation in meetings throughout the school campus and occasional travel between school areas or buildings. Work involves exposure to confidential student records and sensitive educational and family information. Work is generally performed during regular school hours, with the position scheduled two days per week. May occasionally require schedule flexibility to participate in meetings or complete time-sensitive reevaluation activities. Mental and Cognitive Demands Ability to manage multiple assigned cases, deadlines, and priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to analyze, organize, and synthesize information from multiple sources. Ability to interpret educational records, assessment information, and other student data. Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and organized written reports and documentation. Ability to exercise sound judgment, recognize issues requiring additional information or guidance, and seek direction when appropriate. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents/guardians, school staff, and related service providers. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive student and family information. Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with the Lead School Psychologist and other team members. Ability to prioritize work and meet established timelines in a part-time work schedule.
