About the role

The Building Based Educator provides classroom instruction and support across multiple grade levels and subject areas, including day-to-day and long-term coverage. They are also responsible for assisting with school programming, student supervision, and maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations.

Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston.

We are a PreK-12 school serving up to 1,250 students.

Our mission is to prepare students—particularly multilingual learners and those who would be the first in their families to earn a college degree—for success in college and careers in order to achieve economic security and mobility.

Students gain acceptance to our schools via an annual blind public lottery open to all Boston residents.

  • Start date: Immediate OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Match has an immediate opening for a Building Based Educator who can teach classes and support students at Match Middle School, located at 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain.
  • The hours for these positions are 7am-2:45pm (7am-4:30pm on Wednesdays). Compensation starts at a $52,499 annual salary and can be higher if the candidate has prior relevant experience.

  • Educators are responsible for: Providing classroom instruction or support in Match classrooms in multiple grade levels and subject areas, including day-to-day and long-term coverage. Assisting with school programming and student supervision as needed during non-instructional time; Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there; Participating actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming; and Serving as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community PM20
