Job summary

Develop, implement, and supervise industry-aligned coursework that provides students with technical knowledge, hands-on skills, and career readiness. Deliver effective instruction that promotes an exemplary educational program and supports the success of all students.

Essential duties and responsibilities

The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out.   • Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.

  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, schedule, individualized programs of instruction for students, classroom materials and curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities.

  • Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
  • Daily 15% 4.
  • Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
  • Daily 15% 5.
  • Collaborate with support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Daily 5% 6.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.
  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
  • Five (5) years of professional work experience in industry
  • Appropriate certifications or licenses in the industry field
  • Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic classroom management and planning skills
  • Basic organizational skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
  • Ability to assume leadership in the development and communication of programs and curriculum
  • Ability and desire to work as a team member

Additional Information

Night programming at the CCIC is designed to support current high school students and adult learners across the metro area to obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant License through the state of Colorado. Night programming is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM to teach skills for testing and clinicals. The instructor will also be responsible for supervising clinicals at a currently established nursing facility. AN RN LICENSE THROUGH THE STATE OF COLORADO IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
