Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Elementary School Teacher to inspire and educate our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with a supportive team and make a lasting impact on the academic and personal growth of students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Regularly assess and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings, including weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
- Uphold and promote Concord Academy’s values of respect, responsibility, and excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field.
- Valid teaching certification for the state of Michigan.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
- Previous experience teaching elementary students is preferred.
