The Preschool Substitute Teacher is responsible for implementing teaching methods and executing lesson plans to ensure smooth classroom operations. They will also maintain the classroom environment and build positive relationships with students and staff.

Preschool Substitute Teachers have the fun opportunity to enjoy working with a wide variety of students and implementing an array of teaching methods and techniques. Your ability to connect with young learners and execute lesson plans will help ensure the classroom runs smoothly on any day as necessary. What We Offer

Pay range: $26.00 - $28.00 Position located at Palo Alto, CA This is an on-call position What We Are Looking For 12 completed ECE semester units (or 18 quarter units), including coursework in: Child Growth and Development Child, Family, and Community Program/Curriculum OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development Prior experience in a preschool setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In general, this position requires an individual to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language. In addition, this position often requires an individual to carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend. This position is regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction. Requirements

Candidates must have 12 completed ECE semester units or a Bachelor's degree in Child Development. Prior experience in a preschool setting is preferred along with strong communication and collaboration skills.
