About the role

The teacher is responsible for utilizing the LifeWise curriculum to conduct age-appropriate lessons for students in grades 6-12 while maintaining an organized and encouraging classroom environment. Additionally, they must manage student records, communicate with school personnel, and act as an ambassador for the organization within the community.

Overview

LifeWise Secondary Education teachers will demonstrate in-depth Bible knowledge and outstanding teaching abilities for students in grades 6-12. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, committed and proficient in teaching.   • Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting

Job Description

  • Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
  • Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of the start date and prior to teaching in the LifeWise classroom
  • Participate in the annual LifeWise Summit each year
  • Attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or one LifeWise Meet-Up per year
  • Stay up to date on training and updates by regularly checking LifeWise email

  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with school personnel to stay apprised of class schedule changes and ensure student well-being
  • Build relationships with volunteers and keep them apprised of schedule changes
  • Submit regular updates, stories and photos to the program director
  • Promote and communicate LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions, ensuring alignment with the organization's core values and beliefs
