Description Cole Valley Christian Schools, established in 1972, is the largest Christian school in Idaho, serving approximately 1,400 students from early childhood through 12th grade with a culture of grace, truth and love. Cole Valley Christian Schools is seeking God’s wisdom as we search for a Christ following Early Childhood Floater Aide to support our early childhood classroom. The aide will assist the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and faith-based learning environment for young learners. This position requires flexibility based on classroom coverage needs to move between classrooms, outdoor play areas, and cleaning duties throughout the day.
Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation for ages 3-5 in a small group setting. Provide supervision and support for children during class, recess, and transitions and move between classes to cover staff breaks, assist with transitions in and out of classrooms and supervise recess for multiple teachers. Assist in daily routines such as eating, napping, bathroom assistance and activities. Help prepare instructional materials and maintain a clean, organized classroom. Clean and sanitize classrooms, toys, tables, bathrooms, and shared areas. Assist with meal and snack cleanup. Maintain and launder classroom linens, towels, and other program materials. Support children’s social, emotional, and spiritual development. Reinforce classroom routines and positive behavior expectations. Participate in prayer, Bible lessons, chapel and faith-based activities. Communicate effectively with teachers and staff. Perform other duties as assigned.
Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord. Evidence of a teachable heart, humility, and a gentle spirit. Demonstrated ability to work in unity as part of a team, serving others. High School Diploma required. Experience working with young children. Dependable, patient, flexible and able to adjust quickly between classrooms. Must be comfortable leading children in a small group center. Strong communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and remain active throughout the day.
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week working on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Starts at $13.00 per hour. Actual salary depends on experience.
