Kindergarten Teacher Aide (PT)
The Kindergarten Teacher Aide will support teachers with daily classroom instruction, activities, and small-group learning. They are also responsible for supervising students during transitions, lunch, and recess while maintaining a safe and organized environment.

San Marcos Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Kindergarten Teacher Aide to join our Lower School team for the 2026–2027 school year. The Kindergarten Teacher Aide will work alongside our Kindergarten teachers to support students throughout the school day and help create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment. Candidates must be dependable, energetic, and enjoy working with young children with a spirit of. patience, compassion. They should be able to inspire, encourage, and manage children with varying learning needs, personalities, and levels of independence. .
Support Kindergarten teachers with daily classroom instruction, activities, centers, and small-group learning Assist students during classroom and grade-level transitions throughout the school day Provide additional supervision and support during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, Specials, and other Kindergarten activities as needed Reinforce classroom routines, expectations, and positive student behavior Assist teachers in preparing classroom materials and maintaining an organized learning environment Help ensure the safety and appropriate supervision of students at all times Support the individual needs of students while encouraging independence and confidence Communicate professionally and work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, students, and families Model Christian values and actively support the mission and ministry of San Marcos Academy Specific Benefits: This position follows the San Marcos Academy school calendar, including scheduled school holidays and breaks.
High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Early Childhood or Elementary Education coursework or experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Patience, flexibility, dependability, and a love for working with young children Commitment to serving as a positive Christian role model for students
