The Speech & Language Pathologist develops, implements, and evaluates treatment plans for students with speech and language needs. They are responsible for assessing speech-language skills, providing therapy services mandated by IEPs, and maintaining ongoing communication with parents.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position: Position: Speech & Language Pathologist The Speech & Language Pathologist develops, implements, and evaluates treatment plans for students with speech/language needs.

Minimum Qualifications

New York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities Master’s degree in speech-language pathology and/or NYS Professional License as a Speech Language Pathologist. Speech & Language Pathologist Principal Responsibilities: Assess speech-language skills as necessary to determine child’s need for therapy. Provide quality speech therapy services to students as mandated on the IEP. Consult and interface with colleagues at team meetings. Provide parent training and ongoing communication with parents. Complete all required paperwork and documentation. Provide in-service training and participate in staff development activities. Meet with supervisor on ongoing basis. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in speech-language pathology and possess a New York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities. A valid NYS Professional License as a Speech Language Pathologist is also required.
