This role focuses on partnering with classroom teachers during English Language Arts instruction, providing targeted support that helps students engage with grade-level texts, participate confidently in class discussions, and develop the literacy skills needed for success throughout the school year.

What You’ll Do As a Simply Ed Middle School ELA Teacher’s Assistant, you will: Provide push-in classroom support during English Language Arts instruction.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide targeted academic support that aligns with daily instruction.

Offer one-on-one and small group literacy support to students.

Reinforce reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary development, grammar, and critical thinking strategies.

Help students build confidence while applying literacy skills to classwork, discussions, and written assignments.

Help manage classroom routines and foster a focused, supportive learning environment.

Monitor student progress and share observations with teachers and staff.

Assist with organizing materials and preparing instructional resources.

Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.

Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking individuals who are: Passionate about supporting middle school students' academic growth in English Language Arts.

Comfortable supporting reading, writing, vocabulary, and comprehension instruction for students in Grades 6–8.

Reliable, professional, and committed to showing up every day.

Strong communicators and collaborative team players.

Experienced with adolescents (formally or informally) — school experience preferred, but training is provided.
