CTE - Health Science Program Support Specialist (Part-time)
The Health Science Program Support Specialist provides instructional, technical, and operational support to Health Science teachers across the district. They collaborate with partners to ensure programs meet state and industry standards while assisting with curriculum, laboratory safety, and clinical placements.
Definition Under the general supervision of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director, the Health Science Program Support Specialist is responsible for providing instructional, technical, and operational support to Health Science Education teachers throughout the district. The employee works collaboratively with school administrators, Health Science teachers, business and industry partners, and postsecondary institutions to ensure high-quality Health Science programs that meet state, district, and industry standards. This is a part-time position working up to 20 hours per week. Work hours may vary based on district needs.
Reports To: Director of Career and Technical Education
Classification: Part-Time (20 Hours per Week) Exempt
Hourly rate based on teaching certificate. This position is paid as a part-time Technical Assistant position based on the current CTE fiscal policy guide developed by the North Carolina Office of Career and Technical Education.
