Formerly called Arapahoe Park and Recreation District, Trails Park and Recreation District (TPRD) is dedicated to providing and maintaining exceptional parks, trails, open spaces, and recreational amenities for residents living in unincorporated portions of Arapahoe County and Eastern Centennial. This special district was formed in 1982 and oversees approximately 20 developed parks, 25 miles of trails, 3 facilities (the Trails Recreation Center, Lookout Park and Pool, and the Trails Skate Park), and over 300 acres of natural areas all within 10.5 square miles.
