• Range: $16.00 - $23.40 HourlySUMMARY Under the direction of the Athletics Supervisor, the Volleyball Instructor will be responsible for developing players' technical skills, teamwork, and overall understanding of volleyball. As a Volleyball Instructor, you will create a positive and supportive environment for participants while ensuring safety and inclusivity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Instruct players on fundamental volleyball techniques, including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking. Emphasize proper footwork, hand-eye coordination, and strategic positioning. Assess player skills and adjust coaching methods to fit individual abilities and needs. Provide constructive feedback to players to improve performance and boost confidence. Maintain effective communication with players, parents, and staff, addressing questions and concerns professionally. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Comprehensive knowledge of volleyball rules and regulations. Strong communication skills to connect with players, parents, and team members. Ability to make quick decisions and adapt to dynamic situations during practice or matches. Ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve conflicts or concerns effectively. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT Ability to demonstrate various volleyball techniques. Agility to move quickly and change direction during instruction or demonstration. Ability to stand for extended periods and engage in active participation. Ability to lift and transport volleyball equipment and set up training drills.
