Strive Charter School is a progressive public charter school serving Kindergarten through Grade 4 in the South Bronx, opening in August 2026. We are building a school where rigorous academics and joyful, active learning belong together. Strive’s approach combines strong foundations in literacy and mathematics with hands-on, inquiry-based learning in science and social studies. Students will be encouraged to question, reason, investigate, explain, create, and take increasing ownership of their learning. Our mission is to prepare children for a lifetime of curiosity, citizenship, and opportunity by providing the time, space, support, and meaningful learning experiences every child deserves. Strive is also designed in close partnership with families. Students will have access to the building from 7:00–9:00 a.m. before instruction and from 4:30–7:00 p.m. after the school day, with breakfast, dinner, and enriching opportunities through programs such as Strive Sunrise and Strive Beyond. Families can also expect weekend and year-round programming, along with school bus transportation offering two morning drop-offs and two evening pick-ups. At Strive, more time means more opportunities to read, explore, move, create, belong, and grow.
