Position: Middle School Math Teacher

Role Description

As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective math instruction to students in grades 6-8. Responsibilities

Embody & Élan Academy’s mission, vision, and values; Participate in an annual summer staff orientation and training; Plan and deliver comprehensive math lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum objectives Incorporate various teaching strategies, including hands-on activities, technology integration, and differentiated instruction, to cater to diverse learning styles Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure student success. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance subject knowledge and teaching methodologies. Create and maintain an organized and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning. Participate in weekly coaching meetings. Work collaboratively with Scholar Support Teammates to ensure all student accommodations and modifications are implemented with fidelity. Actively track, celebrate, and respond to student data.

Qualifications

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field Valid teaching certification in the appropriate subject area and grade level preferred Excellent knowledge of middle school math concepts and effective teaching practices
