  • Overview #Social Work Supervisor #School Schedule #LCSW Racker is excited to welcome applicants for a full-time Senior Clinician-Day Treatment Counselor to support our programs in Ithaca.
  • Qualified candidates will have a LCSW as well as school social work and/or clinical experience.
  • Position supports a team of therapists as we partner with TST BOCES providing intensive, milieu-based mental health services to students with social-emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Starting salary range is $60,000-$75,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision to one or more licensed therapists. Provide crisis intervention support to students in need, when assigned therapist is not available. Chair and attend program meetings as requested by the Program Director and the Director of Counseling for School Success. Coordinate team consultation on clinical issues as needed. Coordinate, facilitate and document treatment planning. Review programmatic issues and staff development needs with Program Director and Director of Counseling for School Success. Provide orientation and mentoring to new staff. Facilitate peer supervision groups. Represent the program as requested by the Program Director and Director of Counseling for School Success. Carry reduced clinical caseload

Qualifications

Education/Certification: Master’s Degree in Social Work with LCSW licensure or Master’s Degree in relevant mental health field with appropriate advanced certification in the field of specialty Skills/Abilities: Ability to provide effective mental health support to youth and their families, function as a member of a multidisciplinary team and provide effective clinical supervision Knowledge: Understanding of the needs of children with social, emotional and behavioral problems and the needs of their families. Understanding of clinical supervision perspectives and strategies Physical Requirements: ability to operate standard office equipment.
