Adjunct Instructor/Education

The primary responsibility for individuals appointed from this pool is teaching courses within education, which includes instructional activities, academic advising, and working with students outside of class. Adjunct faculty may also have opportunities to supervise student field experiences in elementary or secondary settings.

For the adjunct instructor level, a master’s or terminal degree in the discipline or a related field is required, or a bachelor’s degree plus the equivalency of a master’s in professional experience, along with demonstrated teaching potential. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and commitment to student success.
