• Range: $24.00 - $29.00 HourlyLooking for experienced CHILDCARE LEAD TEACHERS Rainbow Station, the full time childcare program at the New Canaan YMCA is looking to hire additional LEAD TEACHERS in our Toddler classrooms - if you especially enjoy working with infants and 1 and 2 year olds, we would love to hear more from YOU! Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic and nurturing – with a passion for working with young children. Our classroom teachers work together to provide a program which fosters children's social, physical, emotional and cognitive growth. In addition to our classrooms, as part of the New Canaan YMCA, our childcare program has use of additional indoor space (such as the gymnasium and Bouncing Bears) and outdoor space (2 playgrounds), as well as other enhanced program offerings such as music classes and swim instruction (for the older classrooms).

• Mondays through
• Fridays, from 7:30am to 6pm - and full-time teachers work approximately 35 hours a week, with ability to work up to 40+ if interested. • Candidates will possess: Associates degree/Bachelor's degree preferred Knowledge of Early Childhood Development CPR / First Aid A "Safety First" mindset Excellent communication skills and an abundance of patience Punctual and reliable A love of singing, storytelling, imaginative play and crafts Responsive and flexible to the needs of the program Ability to work well with children in cooperation with other staff and parents of participants
