Perfect for someone who enjoys teaching, connecting with others, and helping players improve their game in a community center setting and serves both children and adults. Seeking instructors that can teach weekday mornings, evenings, and/or weekends. General Function Pickleball Instructors lead engaging, skill-based classes and workshops while ensuring a safe, organized, and positive environment for all participants. This role includes teaching semester-based programs, private lessons, open play sessions, and clinics as needed, with a focus on helping both youth and adult players develop strong pickleball fundamentals. We are primarily seeking individuals available to teach weekday mornings and weekends. Key Responsibilities Create and deliver skill-appropriate pickleball lesson plans for groups (youth and/or adults). Set up and break down courts and equipment safely; report any issues as needed. Maintain a strong on-court presence, ensuring participants are engaged, learning, and following program guidelines. Demonstrate proper techniques including serving, rallying, positioning, and game strategy. Take attendance and communicate any participant concerns or absences. Keep courts and equipment clean, organized, and ready for play. Provide feedback on player development and progress during sessions or program showcases. Promptly report any injuries or incidents. Assist with clinics, leagues, and special pickleball events as needed. Qualifications & Skills Experience playing and/or teaching pickleball (or strong racquet sport background). Experience working with youth and/or adult groups. Ability to lead classes in a fun, structured, and inclusive environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to teach fundamentals while helping players progress to more advanced skills. CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months). Coaching or pickleball certifications are a plus but not required. Passion for growing the game and building community through sport.

Instructor will:

Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.

Attend required abuse risk management training.

Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.

Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.

Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, move, and instruct for extended periods. Comfortable demonstrating skills and actively participating in drills. Ability to set up and move light equipment (nets, balls, paddles). Impact & Outcomes Create a fun, welcoming, and engaging pickleball experience for all participants. Help players build confidence, improve skills, and enjoy the game. Support a community-driven program that promotes active lifestyles and social connection.

Requirements
