  • What You’ll Experience Under the direction of the Unit Manager, RN Clinical Operations Coordinator, and RN Service Line Supervisors, you’ll: Work directly with a dedicated preceptor and surgical team Assist in facilitating safe and effective invasive surgical procedures Apply aseptic and sterile technique in a real-time clinical environment Build the skills to anticipate surgeon needs during procedures Support minimally invasive, invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic surgeries You’ll develop the ability to combine knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, surgical processes, and advancing technologies—all while contributing to safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
  • What You’ll Do As a Surgical Technologist Intern, you will: Prepare operating rooms for upcoming surgeries Sterilize instruments and ensure equipment readiness Maintain a sterile field and safe surgical environment Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies Prepare patients for procedures Participate as an active member of the surgical team Support intra-operative temperature regulation measures Follow sharps safety protocols Handle and label specimens accurately Complete required documentation within scope of practice Gain familiarity with pharmacologic agents used in the sterile field Throughout your internship, you’ll progressively build competency in the clinical skills required for certification and future promotion.
