The role involves providing supplemental instructional support to eligible students by delivering targeted interventions based on teacher-Developed plans, which may include small group instruction or tutoring. Responsibilities also include administering assessments, monitoring student progress through daily reports, and maintaining required student files and documentation.

Candidates must meet specific educational benchmarks, such as completing two years of higher education (60 semester hours) or obtaining an associate's degree or higher. Alternatively, candidates can qualify by passing an approved formal state academic assessment demonstrating knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction assistance.
