Substitute School Nurse

The substitute nurse provides routine care, treatment, and monitoring for students with illnesses or injuries, assesses health concerns, and administers medications according to physician orders and school policies. This role also involves maintaining accurate health documentation and communicating pertinent health information to families and appropriate school personnel.

Required qualifications include a current texas state registered nurse (Rn) license, current cpr certification, and a bachelor of science in nursing (Bsn). Preferred qualifications include 3-5 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric, school, or community health settings, along with strong clinical assessment skills.
