Head Start Teacher Aide

The teacher aide supports the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate plans for three- To five-Year-Olds, assisting with daily lessons, preparing materials, and nurturing strong partnerships with families. Essential duties include supervising children, carrying out positive discipline, preparing/Serving meals, performing housekeeping tasks, and maintaining required documentation.

A high school diploma or equivalency is required, with the mandate to obtain a child development associate (Cda) credential or an associate’s degree in early childhood education within two years of hiring. Candidates must be skilled in using computers for email and microsoft office, capable of physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds, and must pass pre-Employment drug testing and physical examination.
