Core responsibilities
Aquatics staff are responsible for performing lifeguard and swim instructor duties while creating a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. Key duties include vigilantly scanning areas, enforcing rules, instructing youth members in swimming skills, and performing rescues or administering first aid/Cpr when necessary.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and possess current lifeguard, cpr for the professional rescuer, aed, first aid, and oxygen certifications. Six months or more of related aquatics experience and previous work with youth are preferred, and all hires must pass background and reference checks.
