The health and wellbeing coach is responsible for serving members by building relationships and connecting with those struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle, while guiding all fitness enthusiasts through ymca programs. Key duties include delivering equipment orientations, teaching proper form, assisting with personalized workout routines, and ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
Requirements summary
Candidates should ideally possess a bachelor's degree or two years of related knowledge and experience, along with knowledge of basic health, fitness principles, and exercise prescriptions. Essential requirements include the ability to set an excellent example in health and service, experience working with diverse populations, and the physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
