Core responsibilities
The swim instructor will provide direct leadership, prepared instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes, teaching beginning to advanced swimming and safety skills according to age and class level. Key duties include preparing lesson plans, safely instructing strokes, completing required reports, communicating with parents, and assisting with fundraising and sanitation protocols.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 15 years old and ideally possess six months or more of related experience, enjoying work with youth and diverse populations while being able to demonstrate basic swimming skills. Applicants must pass background and reference checks and complete mandatory child abuse prevention training.
