Patient Care Technician Preceptor - PCT - Dialysis

This role functions as part of the dialysis healthcare team, providing safe and effective dialysis therapy under nurse supervision, which includes setting up and operating hemodialysis machines and assisting in maintaining a clean environment. Principal duties involve direct patient care such as vascular access cannulation, monitoring treatment response, calculating ultrafiltration goals, and extensive documentation of treatment parameters.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged, with a bachelor's degree preferred, and must hold a valid pct national or state-Specific certification as defined by cms. A minimum of five years of patient care experience in a hospital or related facility is preferred, and continued employment depends on successful completion of dialysis training and cpr certification.
