Community Habilitation- Direct Support Professional

The direct support professional is responsible for implementing and monitoring individualized staff action plans while adhering to state, federal, and agency regulations. This involves working directly with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities to provide habilitative support and increase skill levels.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with at least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/Or developmental disabilities, though equivalent experience may substitute. Candidates must possess a valid nys driver’s license, reliable transportation, and must undergo fingerprinting for a criminal history record check due to substantial unsupervised physical contact.
