Position Description

The Mental Health Professional provides intensive therapeutic services to children and adolescents and their family using research and evidenced-based therapy models targeting the specific needs of the child. Services are provided in the school and office settings with the child as a participant in his/her own treatment. This individual must possess a current PA LPC or LCSW license.

The Mental Health Professional develops and implements individualized treatment plans by assessing the strengths and therapeutic needs of the child and the child’s family.

This position reports to the Manager of Mental Health Services under the direction of the Director of Mental Health Services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide flexible scheduling and service options for families.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of child development and childhood disorders.
  • Assess the strengths and therapeutic needs of the child and family.
  • Provide family-focused therapy to client/family members according to the treatment plan.
  • Provide both face-to-face and telehealth services to clients and their families.
  • Provide services as needed by the family-could be in-school or early evening center-based appointments.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess the ability to work with children/adolescents and their families in a professional and empathetic manner.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a mental health field.
  • Current PA LPC or LCSW licensure required.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, current insurance coverage and consistent access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Mandated Reporter and Safety Care Training within 30 days of hire.
  • Provide clearances with a clean record, free from allegations or findings related to abuse, neglect, exploitation or other criminal acts against children, i.e. Act 33, Act 34 or FBI Clearance.

Preferred Training / Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children/adolescents.
  • Training in PCIT, TFCBT, EMDR, DBT, or other evidence-based interventions.

Compensation

Annual salary rate for licensed LPC is is between $50,000 and $60,000. Annual salary rate for licensed LCSW is is between $60,000 and $63,000. This posted range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this position. Actual pay offers are determined based on factors such as relevant education, years of experience, licensure, certifications, and internal equity.

Professional

Advancement: Professional development opportunities and dedicated training budget. $200 annual credit towards licensure CEU’s or licensure renewal and dedicated training budget.

Retirement

403(b) Savings Plan enrollment with company match up to 6% of your contribution after one year of service.

One Year of Service is completed after working 1,000 hours within a 12-month period. If you do not reach 1,000 hours in your first year, you will earn your Year of Service in any future year when you meet that requirement.

Returning employees may take advantage of the retirement match immediately or earlier than one year.

Incentive

Potential for additional earnings through the agency's incentive program/plan.

The agency’s incentive program/plan is a payment of 1 ½ times a staff’s hourly rate of pay once their annual productivity expectation has been met. This incentive payment is made at the completion of the fiscal year.

Roughly 75% of current employees earn an incentive – of those who do, see an incentive payment of $1,000 to $10,000 annually.
