Preschool Teacher

The preschool teacher is primarily responsible for maintaining a quality learning environment, instructing children to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth, and planning/Implementing the educational plan for the head start program. This includes training assistant teachers, assessing children, maintaining cumulative records, and ensuring compliance with licensing and performance standards.

Candidates must meet specific educational and experience criteria, with three tiers outlined: Teacher 1 requires an associate's degree and 6-12 months experience; teacher 2 requires a bachelor's degree and 1-2 years experience; and teacher 3 requires a bachelor's degree, nc state bk-Teacher’s certification, and 1-2 years experience. All candidates must pass screenings, possess specific certifications like child care credential ii & i, cpr, first aid, and hold a valid driver's license.
