Core responsibilities
Behavior technicians implement individualized behavior intervention plans one-On-One with children with autism, utilizing evidence-Based techniques to teach essential skills and reduce interfering behaviors under the supervision of a bcba. This role requires significant physical engagement, including the ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be passionate about helping children with autism, demonstrating patience, compassion, and strong teamwork abilities, and must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or ged. Successful applicants must also obtain necessary certifications like cpr/First aid and pass a background check, ultimately obtaining a registered behavior technician certification after onboarding.
