Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Early Childhood Education, specializing in Early Intervention or Early Childhood Special Education, at the Sylvania Campus. Looking For Please also review the PCC Course Catalog for this subject area (ECE/HEC). As part of this application, you will be asked to list the current PCC courses which you would be able to teach - our specific need is the ECE 234, Children with Special Needs in ECE course. Instructor Qualifications Education Master’s degree in Early Intervention or Early Childhood Special Education Experience AND three years, full-time equivalent, recent work experience in the field, specifically working with children ages infant through preschool and/or families in the field of early care and education. “Recent” is defined as within the last 5 years. Instructors who meet the above requirement may teach all ECE and HEC courses, and ECE 234. See the PCC Instructor Qualifications webpage for more information. Part-time Faculty Compensation at PCC Newly hired Part-time Faculty at PCC will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determine based upon the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab).
