Overview Direct Support Professional I - PASS Pay

$20.25-$21.00/hour Seven Hills Rhode Island is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSP I) to provide one-on-one support to children with special healthcare needs through our PASS program. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping children build independence, develop life skills, and actively participate in their homes and communities. As a Direct Support Professional in PASS, you will provide individualized, family-driven support that enhances a child’s ability to engage in daily activities and social experiences. Working closely with families and a multidisciplinary team, you will implement personalized plans that promote independence, safety, and overall well-being. Responsibilities

Direct Care & Support Provide one-on-one care and supervision based on the approved PASS plan Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care as needed Support children in developing independence, decision-making, and life skills Create opportunities for socialization at home and in the community Plan Implementation & Documentation Implement individualized goals developed in collaboration with families and the care team Accurately document progress through data sheets, notes, and required reports Submit timesheets, incident reports, and documentation in a timely manner Participate in family-led trainings and apply feedback to improve service delivery Family & Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers regarding progress and needs Work collaboratively with coordinators and clinical consultants Maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive relationship with families Community Engagement & Transportation Transport individuals to approved activities and appointments as needed Support participation in recreational, social, and community-based activities Ensure all transportation is conducted safely and in accordance with regulations Professional Standards & Safety Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations Promote self-advocacy, dignity, and respect for each individual served Respond effectively to emergencies and ensure a safe, clean environment Attend required trainings and maintain certifications Core Competencies Empathy and compassion Strong communication skills, especially with families Reliability and professionalism Ability to support social skill development and independence Flexibility and adaptability in a home-based setting Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required Valid Class C or Class D driver’s license CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
