Job description

  • About JerseySTEM All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.
  • Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership.
  • K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.
  • Overview This is a pro-bono volunteer position.
  • JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
  • The Work Management Productivty Analyst leads the effort to optimize the technology platforms available at JerseySTEM to improve/optimize the work experience of our volunteers as it relates to the platforms they need to use to deliver / do their job.
  • The role is at the intersections of primarily Slack/Jira with collaboration with the counterparts overseeing GoogleWorkspace (TECH.GWS) /Salesforce (TECH.SFT).
  • The role reports to Agile technology lead/Jira administrator and include 3 parts: Investigation, Administration, Support/Train/Socialize/Share/Communicate

Responsibilities

Investigate: Explore slack add-ons including integration with Twilio or other SMS services Research Jira/Slack integration options Explore Atlassian Add-ons that can inprove productivity Test add-ons by deploying them on the Sandbox and conducting the evaluation Collaborate with stakeholders and Agile technology lead/Jira administrator Administer Contribute to Slack Administration Contribute to Jira configuration Contribute to Jira user support Train Develop mini-training modules rrelated to Slack and Jira Develop Job Aids Hold information sessions for volunteers

Qualifications

Willingness to operate with a startup mentaity Experience with the foolowing platforms: Jira, Slack, Googke Workspace, Salesforce Strong communication/customer service skills to effectively interact with team members, scrum masters and leadership Experience building, managing and enforcing standards Effectively prioritizes work, troubleshoots issues, communicates, and completes tasks on time An ability to thrive in highly flexible environments Minimum time commitment: 10 hours/week for 2 monrgs, then 6 hours/week Location : This position is remote.
