The Assistant Coach is responsible for organizing and implementing a successful Poms program at the high school level. This includes developing competitive student-athletes who prioritize academics, fundamental skills, and sportsmanship while collaborating with school staff and the community.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous coaching experience is preferred. The role requires the ability to foster a positive environment and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and administrators.
An athletic coach with Douglas County School District will be charged with the organization and implementation of a successful program. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to develop a competitive program that is committed to the creation of student athletes who demonstrate a commitment to academics, strong fundamental skills, and sportsmanship. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with administrators, teachers, coaches, sponsors, students, parents, and members of the community to ensure that the school stands out with pride for our community.
