Graduate Assistant: Student Accessibility Services

The graduate assistant supports access and assistance for students with disabilities by working individually with students to develop compensatory strategies for academic, social, and emotional success. Responsibilities also include assisting the director with mentor programs, acquiring alternate format materials, demonstrating assistive technology, and serving as an exam proctor or scribe.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and be accepted into a graduate degree program at assumption university, demonstrating extraordinary interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to student development across diverse populations. Essential requirements include the ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, maturity, excellent communication, counseling, organization skills, and proficiency in microsoft office products.
