Student Fitness Instructor (Physical Education and Aquatics Center-PEAC)

Fitness instructors are responsible for teaching a variety of classes within the group exercise and instructional class program, which includes developing individual class lesson plans and leading instructional sessions for participants. Staff must also supervise class participants, maintain familiarity with evacuation plans, and provide quality customer service to all staff and members.

Applicants must be currently enrolled students at cal poly, carrying a minimum of 6 units (4 for graduate students), and possess knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and safe group exercise procedures. Required qualifications include professional instructor certification in a related field, excellent communication skills, and obtaining american red cross adult first aid, cpr, and aed certification within 30 days of hire.
