Physical Responsibilities Frequently lift and carry children weighing up to 40 pounds Sit on the floor for extended periods and engage in floor-level play Bend, kneel, squat, and reach throughout the day Stand and walk for extended periods of time Safely lift infants in and out of cribs and changing stations Push strollers or evacuation cribs as needed Perform diapering and toileting routines Maintain visual and auditory supervision at all times Respond quickly in emergency situations Perform classroom cleaning and sanitizing duties Required Qualifications ECE Units required under California Title 22 for Infant/Toddler Teachers (including Infant/Toddler units, as applicable) Ability to pass a criminal background check CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid California Teaching Permit or willingness to obtain upon hire A calm, patient, and nurturing approach with a genuine passion for early childhood development Bonus Qualifications (Preferred) Knowledge of DRDP (Infant/Toddler) implementation Basic knowledge of the Environment Rating Scale (ITERS) Experience working in an infant or toddler classroom
