Core responsibilities
The multilingual case worker provides direct case management and support services to eligible refugee student impact program (Rsip) students, performing individual case management, conducting community outreach, and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders. Essential duties include screening students, developing work plans with parents and schools, conducting needs assessments for materials, providing translation, offering referrals, and assisting with conflict mediation.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess an associate’s degree, preferably in education, teaching, or english language acquisition, along with one year of experience working with students, particularly in public school or ell settings. Proficiency in written and oral english is mandatory, plus fluency in at least two of the following languages: French, amharic, spanish, or dari/Pashto, and a valid driver's license is required.
