  • Wednesday 12:30PM to 10:30PM Three consecutive days off! Every day as a Behavioral Health Technician, you’ll team up with a passionate crew of therapists, counselors, and mentors to support teens (ages 12–17) on their mental health and recovery journey. You’ll lead activities like art, music, games, and sports while helping young people build confidence, connection, and coping skills through hands-on experiences. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team focused on reducing teen behavioral health challenges and making a lasting impact in our community.

Responsibilities

Make an impact by mentoring teens and fostering a safe, engaging, and structured therapeutic environment. Lead adolescents through daily routines, group activities, and the development of healthy coping strategies. Receive paid training in substance use recovery counseling and safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques to respond effectively to behavioral escalations. Document progress notes daily and communicate key updates to the Program Director. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure individualized care and to maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications

Age: 21+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED is required; associate’s or bachelor’s in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.

Experience

1+ year working with adolescents in behavioral health, education, coaching, or mentorship preferred.

Certifications

  • CPR and First Aid preferred (training provided).

  • Intervention: Must be willing and able to participate in physical interventions (e.g., therapeutic holds) when necessary, following all safety protocols and trauma-informed practices
