JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Teacher, Early Childhood Education MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 60 semester units from a regionally accredited Institution of Higher Education (must include 3 units of college level reading and composition)

Hold a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit granted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing

3 units of Child Development coursework: Infant and Toddler Development

Adult, Child and Pediatric CPR, First Aid and AED Certification (Online courses do not qualify)

Human Resources Early Childhood Education Interview: APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS Complete application Provide relevant documents:

University and/or Community/Junior College transcripts Copy of Child Development Permit Copy of Adult, Child and Pediatric CPR, First Aid and AED Certification Resume Cover Letter

Provide contact information for professional references, including current or most recent school-based or child-centered employment. Applicants may be contacted by Human Resources (HR) with requests for outstanding documents or information. Successful completion of the HR Early Childhood Education Interview. Applicants who are deemed ELIGIBLE by HR will be contacted with onboarding instructions.

Requirements

Minimum requirements include 60 semester units from an accredited institution with 3 units in college-level reading and composition, and holding a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit. Applicants must also possess 3 units of Child Development coursework and current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
