Day Camp Counselor

The camp counselor is responsible for directly supervising a group of children, fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where campers can build friendships and grow. This includes planning and implementing developmentally appropriate program activities while maintaining program standards and adhering to ymca policies.

Candidates should be a high school student, graduate, or equivalent, with one or more years of college preferred, and ideally possess previous experience working with children, such as in a day camp setting. Applicants must obtain cpr, first aid, and aed certifications, along with child abuse prevention training, within 30 days of hire.
