Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher develops and provides specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities, managing the individual education plan (Iep) process for assigned students. This role involves assessing student progress, implementing research-Based instruction to meet iep goals, and maintaining classroom structure and discipline.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in special education and hold a valid commonwealth of pennsylvania instructional certificate in special education. Essential requirements include demonstrated knowledge of special education principles, relevant pennsylvania and federal regulations, and proficiency with iep software.
