A Long-Term Substitute is responsible for teaching the grade-level standard-based curriculum to students, following district-approved materials during a classroom teacher's extended absence. This role involves counseling students, enforcing conduct rules, observing performance, and preparing educational materials according to guidelines.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field and possess a valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license, though a CDE Application Receipt is accepted for 90 days. Candidates must also commit to living in Colorado and championing racial and educational excellence for all students.
