Swim Instructor

The swim instructor will provide direct leadership, prepared instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes, teaching beginning to advanced swimming and safety skills according to age and class level. Key duties include preparing lesson plans, safely instructing strokes according to ymca guidelines, completing required reports, and assisting with record keeping and parent communication.

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and preferably have six months or more of related experience, enjoying working with youth and diverse populations while being able to demonstrate basic swimming skills. Applicants must pass background and reference checks and complete mandatory child abuse prevention training upon hiring.
