  • Job Summary The position is responsible for patient assessment, psychological testing and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Provides individual, couples, family and group behavioral treatment, patient and community, and student education.
  • Accountabilities Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Utilize independent decision-making in plan of care for therapy services provided.
  • Conduct psychological testing and assessment for designated psychiatric patients.
  • Provide timely professional documentation of psychological testing reports, treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Participate in the training/teaching of students and residents.
  • Works in conjunction with treating psychiatrist and makes appropriate referrals to other professionals or community services as needed.
  • Actively participate in development of psychological services for the Department of Psychiatry, to include community outreach and education Supervisory/Management Responsibility This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
  • Minimum Requirements Doctorate in Clinical psychology, PhD or PsyD 1 year of Post-doctoral experience in medical setting Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses South Carolina License to Practice Clinical Psychology In Lieu Of The Above Minimum Requirements PsyD is the equivalent to PhD.
  • Team members employed in this job prior to July 1, 2020 are grandfathered under prior educational and experience requirements.
  • In addition, team members must be certification eligible and will have one year to obtain required certification.
